HEXAEQUO

Privacy policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

Hexaequo is an online board game. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We show no advertising and sell no data.

What we collect

Without an account, nothing about you reaches our servers: your preferences (language, theme, sound, move aid) stay in your browser’s local storage. If you sign in with Google we receive your Google account identifier, your email address and your display name, and we keep the nickname you choose on Hexaequo. We also record your games: the moves played, the result, the time control and your rating.

Why

Your Google identifier only lets us recognise you from one visit to the next. The email address lets us reach you about your account. Games and ratings are what make the game and the leaderboard work. We do no profiling and no targeted advertising.

Where the data lives

Our servers and database are hosted by Render, in the United States. Your data is therefore processed outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of the hosting country.

What we share

Nothing is sold or rented. Your nickname, your rating and your finished games are visible to other players — that is what a leaderboard is. Your email address never is.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. You may ask for it to be deleted at any time: the account and its email address are erased, and games already played are detached from your identity.

Your rights

You may ask to see your data, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to receive a portable copy. We answer within thirty days.

Cookies and tracking

We use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics. Your browser’s local storage holds only your preferences and your session.
